Aunt Rhody is the pen name of Susan Sommerville.  Susan has taught the Suzuki Violin and Viola method since 1980 in Columbus, Ohio area and for over twenty years with the Suzuki Music of Columbus program, formerly Capital University Music Program. She is SAA registered for Books 1 through 8, three of these earned through long-term training. She has been a clinician at several Institutes. Susan was certified by the National Music Teachers Association, and has participated in chamber groups.  She currently conducts the St. Cecelia Handbell choir. Susan is known for her high teaching standards, excellently prepared students and her creative approaches to individual children that encourage and develop their talent and character.  She has a BS from the University of Michigan, an elementary teaching degree from Central Michigan University and has studied violin with Morris Schulick of the Philadephia Orchestra, and Marya Giesy of the Columbus Symphony.
